The St Bride Foundation, just off Fleet Street was established in 1891 as the social and educational hub of the printing and publishing industries
Its unparalleled library of artefacts and books now plays an important role in illustrating the history of print and graphic design, as well as the history of our culture in general. This collection has not been on public view in the same room before.
The St Bride Unveiled exhibition offers an exclusive opportunity to see highlights from their collection, ranging from the Book of the Dead to the typography of 20th Century signage, and should be fascinating for anyone with an interest in the history and development of the printed word.
Members of the ISTC London Group are planning a group visit to this exhibition, on Thursday 13th August, 2015. We will of course stop for a drink afterwards!
Please book a free ticket to reserve your place.
Please note the visit is self-directed. We will meet at the entrance to the St Bride Foundation at 19:00.
