I pledge to maintain an organization that we want to belong to, that organizes events that we want to attend, and fosters conversations worth remembering.

I want to look at ways in which we can improve the efficiencies in our organisation to improve communication and our ability to manage our work, our projects and our goals.

I want to give back to the community that has given me invaluable encouragement and support throughout my career.

I would like to review how we could attract more members through education and propose solutions to encourage students and higher education institutions to engage more with our institute.

I have been a member of the ISTC council for a few years now. I am an extroverted introvert – hence the fake viking get up! I help to spread the word about what a technical communicator can offer and how they benefit a company … even if that’s just remembering the difference between affect and effect ๐
