TCUK, or Technical Communication UK, is the ISTC’s annual conference for everyone involved in writing, editing, illustrating, delivering and publishing technical information.
Held in September each year, you can find out more by reading on or following us on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to be kept up to date on what’s happening next.
TCUK – online or in person?
TCUK started as an in-person conference, and the ability to meet face-to-face and talk to others who understand our hopes and problems remains key to what we want to offer delegates.
After a few years where everyone had to move to being online, TCUK23 saw us return to meeting at a venue with great success. We look forward to building on that success, and in order to make sure our team of volunteers is able to do this we’re taking the time to get it right.
If you are interested in helping to make the next TCUK a great in-person event, you can get in touch with the ISTC by email.
“It’s just a fantastic event that feels personal and there’s a lot of love put into it.”

What makes TCUK different?
TCUK is a conference with a unique feel. Hosted by the ISTC, it is focused on strengthening our Technical Communication community. The committment to high-quality, practicable learning is shown in the carefully curated and varied programme. Core to the philosophy of TCUK, however, is our dedication to creating a welcoming, safe environment that encourages connection between all attendees: delegates, speakers and sponsors.
This unique blend of community and learning, of networking and CPD, makes TCUK a great way to grow your business, develop your staff, and (just as importantly) leave you feeling inspired and uplifted.
Organised by a team of volunteers from the community, supported by sponsors who understand and serve the community, and attended by people who enjoy being part of the community, you are sure to come away with rewarding connections and new insights.
