Earlier ISTC surveys
The ISTC has a long tradition of conducting surveys among its members. In the 1960s, one of the ISTC’s constituent associations carried out a salary survey that was probably the first among technical communication professional organisations. In the 1980s, the ISTC discussed producing salary surveys. Peter Fountain carried out regular surveys of ISTC Members from 1997.
